We also still stand by our current workaround that you should uninstall the MS update KB And do not set your ZA internet security level to Medium. By setting to Medium you potential expose your computers to a huge number of other threats than just the one that this patch from MS fixes.
Forum Moderator. I too, had this problem and am currently running my system without KB installed. ZA recommends this as a temporary workaround. There are several threads running on the XP forum with this issue too, if you're keeping score. I posted over there, in one of them. My solution was to disable ZA and re-enable the Windows firewall. I've seen posts elsewhere saying to remove the problem update, or just to disable ZA but without the cautionary note to re-enable the Windows firewall.
