By placing capacitors between the IC and a power supply, they calm the voltage fluctuations and also act as a second power source if the primary power drops its voltage enough to turn off an IC.

You will see in style books that "TV" is pretty much standard usage, yet I'm not entirely comfortable with it, and I appreciate your support on the matter. Capitals should only be used for proper titles, and while 'tv' is an abbreviation, I use it in lowercase in informal writing and put the full 'television' for formal writing.

To me, the capital "T" in "Tv is boring today.
